Sometimes you find an integral, by using an variable other than x to represent the original integral. This is called integration with substituition. You, in most cases, will be given the substituition equation.
For definite integrals, you don't have to do the last step, replacing the u's with the equivalent expression in terms of x. You just need to change the limits into values of u.
You may have to deal with unusual substituitions, but the process is more or less the same as seen in the practice question.
